The Newport Yacht Club’s outdoor, heated, 25-yard, 5-lane swimming pool is available for use by Active Resident and Active Associate members of the Club and their invited guests.

Swim team practices begin in mid-May, open swimming sessions begin in early June, and the pool closes in early September. Club members and guests must sign in at the pool entrance and all pool users must follow posted pool rules and lifeguard directions.

Swim Team - The Sharks
Newport Yacht Club fields a summer swim team in Division 5 of the Midlakes Swim League. The team recruits approximately 100 swimmers to participate each year. Daily practices and weekly meets begin in late May and continue through mid-July. There are two team coaches and beginning to advanced swimmers are welcome. Younger swimmers (under age 7) are encouraged to join the Club’s “Sharkies” swim team for a more introductory season of instruction, practice and non-competitive meets.

Swim Lessons
Beginning through advanced swim lessons are taught by lifeguards and swim team staff both to Club members and to interested families outside of the Newport Shores neighborhood. Contact the Club Manager for details and fees.
